How to celebrate Valentine's Day during COVID times

Weather you are celebrating with your special someone , your galentines, or your entire family, Valentine's Day is approaching and this year we will celebrate it in the middle of a pandemic. Like it or not this is our new reality, but it doesn't mean that we can't do some romantic and interesting activities while trying to avoid contracting COVID. Here are some ideas:

For Couples

  • Romantic Dinner: Spend some time in the kitchen together cooking your favorite dishes.
  • Movie Night: Get the popcorn ready!!!  open a bottle of wine and watch a movie while snuggling under a blanket.
  • Go outdoors: If the weather allows, enjoy some time outside. Go for a romantic picnic or a hike!

For Friends

  • Celebrate Happy Hour together via Zoom. No designated driver required!
  • Attend a virtual concert. Josh Groban will perform a livestream concert on February 14th.
  • If your gal pals like trivia, try the Bar None Trivia service, it has lots of trivia party options.

For Families with kids

  • Scavenger Hunt is On!!!
  • Game Night, it can be lots of fun (e.g. use heart shaped candy as markers for bingo)
  • Valentine's Party Concert with Laurie Berkner on February 14th. Sign, dance and play games with Laurie as she interacts with everyone from her screen to yours.

Anyway, despite the pandemic, celebrate Valentine's Day even it is a little different this year. Love and friendship are worth celebrating, so let's try to enjoy it even if it's not in the way we would like!
